This varies for each person depending on lifestyle and skin type. On average, your PMU brows will need a top-up every 12–18 months to keep them fresh. If left without maintenance, the pigment will gradually fade and lighten over time.
Factors like sun exposure, strong facial treatments (such as retinol or AHA acids), and your individual skin type can affect how quickly the brows fade.
-
Your skin type is our canvas, and it plays a key role in the final result.
Dry Skin: Suitable for all techniques, especially hairstrokes.
Normal Skin: All techniques are possible, including hairstrokes.
Oily Skin: Shading or powder techniques are most suitable.
Combination Skin: Shading techniques work best if oil is mainly present in the T-zone.
Ultra Thick Skin / Deep Pores / Deep Lines / Wrinkles: Soft powder techniques are recommended.
Scarring: Tattooing over scars can be more complex and may require multiple delicate sessions. The scar must be lighter than the surrounding skin. If there’s darkness or redness in the area, we won’t be able to tattoo over it.

We work with your natural eyebrow hair to keep your brows looking as natural as possible. With your consent, we may tidy up stray hairs outside of your new shape.
For fuller, bushy brows, a shaded powder brow is recommended to add background colour, as delicate hairstrokes won’t be visible.
For sparser brows, you’ll have more flexibility with styles. Hyper-realism techniques often work beautifully if your skin allows.
-
Your brows will look like freshly applied makeup straight after treatment. The level of intensity or darkness will depend on the style you’ve chosen. Slight redness may appear where the skin has been worked on, but this will calm over the next few days.
Full aftercare guidance will be provided at the end of your appointment and explained thoroughly.
